The First LARES 2 and Fourth International LARES Science Workshop will be held at Sapienza University of Rome from July 1st to July 5th, 2019, in conjunction with the Second International Workshop on Gravitomagnetism and large-scale Rotation Measurement (GRM Workshop).
Some of the topics that will be discussed during the workshop will be:

Registration

We kindly ask every participant to register, whether or not it is required the registration fee. The students applying for a grant, for instance, will not pay the reduced fee only if they will be selected for the grant. They anyhow need to register to apply for the grant. The registration does not imply the payment of any fee if the registrant will not attend the workshop.

Conference Fee

If not weaved by the conference organizing committee (such as the invited speakers), registrants should, before the 25th of June, pay the registration fee by choosing one of the following options:

  1. Reduced conference fee: includes lunches and coffee breaks for the 5 days: 250 €

  2. Full conference fee: includes launches, coffee breaks for the 5 days, social dinner and conference tours: 350 €

  3. Students, graduate students and PhD students, reduced fee: includes lunches and coffee breaks for the 5 days: 150 €

  4. Students, graduate students and PhD students, full fee: includes lunches, coffee breaks for the 5 days, social dinner and conference tours: 250 €


(For currencies different from Euro the official change rate will be applied plus bank commissions).

After the 25th of June, on-site registration it will be possible but the conference fee can be paid only with cash and there will be extra charge of 50 € to be paid for each of the above four options.

Limited number of Partial Supports

Limited number of Partial Supports (up to 500 Euro) for attending the LARES/GRM workshops for Ph. D. graduate students (who are not able to get full support for the workshops) at universities of developing countries, working on a topic related to the workshops. Please email: (1) a short vita with a statement of research (maximum: 2 pages) with your registration, and (2) a recommendation letter from your thesis advisor, to the following contact e-mail addresses:

Deadline for application of partial support: 31 may 2019
A limited number of participants who will get the partial support will also get the exemption of fee weaver of 150 € of the registration fee, i.e., would only need to pay the extra 100 € for the banquet and the tours if they wish to participate to those events.

Graduate Students and Post-Doctorals can participate to the: GRM/LARES Paper
Awards for Graduate Students and Post-Doctorals by presenting a poster.

Location of the workshop

The conference will be held at Casa dell’Aviatore (Viale dell’Università 20, Rome) with two days at Scuola di Ingegneria Aerospaziale (with free bus transfer from Casa dell’Aviatore).
